Prince's Anotherloverholenyohead and Janet's Pleasure Principle I don't know but somehow the beginning of Prince's and Janet's two songs remind me so of one another.. Anyone else who can hear the similarity???

I've always thought the drumbeat of Pleasure Principle and Electric Chair were very similar. Check out the bit where the drum pauses and then starts again on both...

There are lots of common elements in Flyte Time´s and Prince´s music. Listen to "You Can Be Mine" and you´ll hear bits and pieces of Possessed. Or check out MJB´s the Love I Never Had...bites off of I Hate U. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

Janet's,"What have you done for me lately", surely sounds like "Partyman". The keys on both are similar. "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

Or rather the reverse, because Janet's Control album came out in '86 wheras Batman came out in '89...

U are so right....I remember during a concert, his band started playing this and when he asked, "Who wrote that"? the replied that he did.....I have always wondered if he did have a hand in writing this for Janet.... Partyman was actually written and composed in the early 80´s...originally intended for Morris Day. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! That is often quoted to prove that Prince might have written the song... Others say it was simply a covers section where Rosie was singing and Prince is making a joke along the lines of 'why are you singing other people's songs at my show?' There's never been any evidence that Prince had anything to do with Janet's Control album. I would be surprised if Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis were even that fond of Prince at the time, since indirectly he got them fired from The Time. The story is that they were off producing some other artist and missed a plane to a gig, Morris asked Prince what he should do, and Prince said 'If it was me, I'd fire them' and they were later fired. I think they've all made up since.
