Mr. Happy = Prince's worst lyrics! I'm listening to Emancipation right now, the first time in many years. Now, Prince has never been a lyrical master, but these lyrics are a whole new level of suck:
"Pump it up, pump it up Brown man, puffin' on a weak jam Understand this is 80 proof Guaranteed 2 get your girl loose if she douche" Seriously, what the fuck? That's almost so bad that it's good. Well, almost. "Drop that stereo before I blow your Goddamn nuts off, asshole!"

ive got Emancipation in the car just now.
I skipped Mr Happy when it came on. Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

Mr.Happy was just filler, P could have easily left it off of Disc one.

I think Mr. happy might be the worst song ever to have sex to...how could you keep a straight face? "Drop that stereo before I blow your Goddamn nuts off, asshole!"

Well, almost. I could explain it too you, but I will just point out a line. Understand this is 80 proof = Bitches like what I am doing now, because I ain't travling back to the 80's. News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so. You have those internalized issues because you want to, you like to, stop.

I have to say I really like this track, I just wish the 3rd party rapper wasn't on it. If you want to dump something off of Emancipation disc 1 then let's lose We Gets Up.

To me, Prince seems just as legit as most "rappers" nowadays that use slang, cussin', or a southern drawl. Everybody is posin' like they are street. At least with Prince we know he's jokin' when he's posin'. He does it because he can. So do I believe Prince is being authentic when he uses current slang? No. I don't believe 50 either. With hip-hop it's mostly a facade anyway to sell records. If rappers can wear a bullet proof vests for fashion, Prince can use any slang he wants and still be more real than most. Ever hear Madonna rap? No? Lucky you. Makes "push it up" sound like "NWA". "New Power slide...."
