when will prince release a remix (singles) box set, like the 2 that duran duran released.
in case you are unformiluar with them, the flip top box holds 13 cd's 1 for each single, with the original single cover (little cardboard covers) and each 1 has the mixes of the single and the b-sides. and the sell for about $39.00
i don't remember how many disc's the second box contained but they were formatted the same way. very nice.
i think a prince 1, or 2, or 3 would be great for our prince collections.

i'd rather have them all compiled together as an anthology than to have all that packaging cluttering up my place. plus, it would be easier to manage the tracks if they were on less CDs. just put the album art in a booklet or something, people will grasp it.

Or maybe for the singles that had a billion mixes on them (early 90's). But I have to agree just give me a 3-4 cd chronological set. And make sure all the 12" were included..and for those that had alt mixes...just give me the main one. Leave the B-Sides for a different set.

it's the same thing depeche mode did, and they have about 15 box sets for their singles.
only offical mixes and released b-sides not dj mixes and all that
