SHORT REVIEW OF 3121 IN LE PARISIEN (France) Ok. There is a full page about Prince's listening party that happened at his place in LA.
The journalist just writes 3 lines about the new album. He thinks it is pretty bad and that you have to count the number of good moments on it. He then ends the article stating that Prince is still amazing on stage and that's the only thing that matters. Did some give him a copy of barry manilow's new recored. becuase from what i've herad (te amo corazon, black sweat, fury, and beautiful loved and blessed. 3121 is goan be HOT!! you know this kind of if thing ticks me off.punk asses like this guy get to go to this. when i would have givin' my left leg to be there. | |

I so agree with you. He spends the first half of the article wondering why the album is entitled 3121 ?!!!! Knowing that he has been invited to Prince's house without getting the link with his address makes him look pretty stupid. No it's not what I meant personnaly. But the guy writes on a full page and half of it is about how he got to Prince's place and where does the title 3121 comes from when he has been in the house for fuck's sake in the first place ?!!! Then you just have 2 sentences about 3121. And the rest of the article about the next he is looking forward to. It is just not great journalism, is it ? Doesn't sound like someone who really gave a crap as to whether they were there or not.
Probably a job obligation. If that's all there was to the review then it's a throw away with no significance. Back up good/bad reviews with a reason and some substance. Hint #1: 3121 is probably on the mailbox you moron. | |

the actual address is not 3121. its something like 13121 or 31210 or not at all that street he lives on does not contain the actual address 3121 not that, that should really matter the reviewer should still know whats going on..... but remember some of the folx on this message board as well as folx over at the quake that heard the record already described it as Musicology pt 2 and gave thier own luke warm reviews only time will tell [Edited 2/9/06 12:55pm] thaCONcept |

"TAC," "BS," "BL&B" and "Fury" are great to me and I just can't see an album with (at minimum) four very strong cuts being mediocre. Even if some folks really have heard the album and feel it is a letdown, I'm not concerned because it sounds like their taste is probably a long way from mine. Peace, David | |
