Did I read somewhere that the original Diamonds & Pearls Album cover was going to be a close-up shot of Prince's open mouth???

out of all of those, i mind the 'gold' cover the least...though it DOES look like a typical bootleg cover. was that the intent, ya think? | |

Someone mentioned recently about T.G.E. artwork (I think it may have been Boris) and how it was a shame that the original cover wasn't released as planned with a gold foil effect, as it lost something in the process. SOunded very... 'luxurious'
Have to say I really super-dig the original Jim Warren ATWIAD art, that's great. | |

.You can see David Letterman hold it up to the camera when Prince performed 'Dolphin' on the show. There's also a Get Wild and Exodus alternative covers floating around - The exodus one has the picture of the  shaped building found in the Emancipation booklet. | |

Now that I would like to see! (if it's true) think thats mentioned in the "Possessed " book isnt it , I liked that anecdote , how the hologram cover came about and how thrilled Prince was with the end result Check out Chocadelica , updated with Lotusflow3r and MPLSound album lyrics April 2nd 2009 :

Too bad Prince was so out of his mind during the Gold years. He had some great songs, but he didn´t know what to do because of his war with WB. The ´Come´ cover is amateurish and he probably did it to piss Warners.
He made some real good stuff then...but his fight wasn´t good for his music promotion then. |
