Well, I was thoroughly impressed. That first song was phenomenal. I loved Prince's guitar work. When it comes to posturing, Prince is in a class all by himself. When he extended his guitar with one hand -- dude just oozed cool! The second song BLB was good. I liked the ladies. Tamar will have to grow on me though. She's okay, but only okay. I'll still buy her damn cd though.

I actually really liked "Beautiful, Loved and Blessed" and as 4 the per4mance of "Fury", that was a 4-minute demonstration in how 2 set a stage a-blaze. BAD-A***

For a lot of non-Prince fans, especially the younger ones, this is how they are going to remember him from now on....with her. ----- The Grammie performance with Beyonce was done because they were pairing old stars with new performers. That was the concept of the show. How would it have looked it P refused to perform with Beyonce. I don't care for Beyonce but, it is obvious that she is not going away anytime soon so it made since for P to do it and get the exposure he needed at the time. I can't understand why you guys don't get this. It would have looked like he was sticking to his guns as an individual like he has in the past by refusing to perform on "We Are The World" not once but twice. Andy is a four letter word.

Still Prince seem like he is more relax and outgoing these days even though he still have that shyness at times.

I noticed that too, De. Seems like Prince has finally conquered his shyness. He certainly was assertive onstage...but that was never a problem for him.

My favorite coment over at the "aint it cool" message board.
"you know, it's a really fuckin' sad comment on the state of pop culture when a 65 year olde glam rock rnb singer demonstrates that he is still more talented, vibrant, and interesting than yer average 20 year old rocker. i weep for the youth of today; you just can't possibly get any lamer."

I do have to agree that Tamar's vocals overshadowed my man! I thought she was good though; just good though, not great. I agree with whowever said that he should've taken on Ledisi. I think he was being gracious last night and was letting her shine on this one. I'm just glad that he's putting himself out there-Can't wait for the CD and the tour!!!!! Guitar play was the shiznit and I was up all alone freakin out and enjoying every minute of it..was thinking how much I'm gonna enjoy this in the front row when he tours!! I personally feel he doesn't need others on stage with him that aint musicians; they simply distract me and I want to swat them like flies! I only want to see and hear HIM. tHERE AREN'T ENOUGH WORDS TO DESCRIBE HOW AMAZING AND TALENTED HE HIS..
PS-Love that cute smile as well; he's so damn fine KBB kbb

A few things:
Y'all make me tired w/ the complaints Other than his hair there was nothing to complain about w/ this performance except that (like Universaluv said) his mic seemed too low on BL&B. And I meant to mention the "superstaaaaar" shit @ the end! He did that shit in SF, I was DYIN'! WTF? Prince is crazy, maybe he likes that sketch or something. Shit had me laughing

That is very sad but that poster hitted the nail on that one. I know kids who are thirteen years old complains about todays music. I mean back in the 90s when I was growing kids thought that I was weird of liking Prince or the music that my parents listened to and didn't care too much of the songs that was considerably hot at the time. But now that is more common of kids preferred listening to the music before their time. Even kids that I went to college with who born in the mid 80s listens to the 70s rock and hates todays rock. After watching Prince last night that is what missing in today's music: true and amazing musicians regardless of their age.

On the Bruce Springsteen fan site, from a Bruce FAN!:
"Bruce ain't qualified to be Prince's guitar tech..." Dayummm! Prince tore it up! GREAT GUITAR WORK on a Fender Strat no less and a whammy bar. He really did great. Maybe the rest of the world will see that our man can actually play... Some people tell me I've got great legs...

I was SF all weekend and couldn't wait to get back to LA tonight and start playing back my DVR over and over to hear the "Fury" song.
Again, one verse into the song I was floored. If Black Sweat breaks Prince back into the top 40 the way Gett Off did, then Fury can return him to #1 the way Cream did. He rocked the whole way through. His vocal inflections were killer and I even thought the dancers looked great and added to the experience of watching the track. I couldn't be more pleased with the latest output and it's all been better than I expected and what I've waited for for too many years to count.

Regardless of how you feel about the kinds of songs she sings. She can blow and is a very strong live performer dancer. Makes a good combination. Not everyone can be a Prince and play and write all their music. The dissing of her is ridiculous because shes clearly very talented in addition to being fine as hell and easy on the eyes. Dance... Let me see you dance
