I just saw this on the New Release board at my local wrecka stow. Even though I was underwhelmed by Te Amo, I'm still VERY excited!

Black Sweat could be promising--I can't really imagine a ballad with a title like that--I think it'll be funky!!
:crossesfingersforthefunk: The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

He performed "Black Sweat" during the acoustic set in Chicago. It was OK. Didn't really sound like a single tho. Repeated, "workin up a black sweat" a lot...and something about, "sweatin me out my do."

Cool! When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.

yeah , I'd not judge the new song on Prince's acoustic rendition of it anyway , he might have completely rewritten it since the performances on the 2004 tour Check out Chocadelica , updated with Lotusflow3r and MPLSound album lyrics April 2nd 2009 :

Although I'm not a great admirer of any of his last ten albums, I've often found a couple of tracks that were fun to discover and that's why I look forward to a major Prince release. I don't expêct a classic but I guess, like a lottery ticket buyer, I hope the improbable will happen.

well that song might not have been written, and he maybe had a part of it written and wanted to try it out that night. News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so. You have those internalized issues because you want to, you like to, stop.

well that song might not have been written, and he maybe had a part of it written and wanted to try it out that night. I think it's a safe bet that anything he does in an acoustic set shouldn't really be taken as sounding like the real deal - even Sometimes It Snows In April...

are these universal release dates, as in world wide...or just the u.s.? [Edited 1/21/06 2:21am]

Could "Beautiful, loved & blessed" be the video with the club member pictures? Sounds not unlikely, IMO.

I don't believe BobbyPin gave out song titles - he just said he had heard the cd & gave general descriptions of some of the songs.

I'm with you on that. I'm very tired of those type of songs. We need something that says "PRINCE" not what you named above. [Edited 1/21/06 8:55am] I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that
