I feel like the singles are flying off this album, we got 3 already (counting BLB) and it appears Fury is hot on the heels of BS, and the album is not even released yet.
My thought on this is maybe he's going for multiple hits in multiple Genres?
TAC-Urban/AC
BLB-Pop/Urban (??)
BS-Pop
Fury-Rock
Next single???

imagine if all of these songs ended up in the top 10 at or around the same time?
that would be cool smile

Sure would, but I'll take anyone's money who wants to bet that ANY single from 3121 is going to crack the Billboard Top 10.

And not the "genre" charts, either; the Hot 100.

What are you all smoking! Te Amo has yet to go in the top 100, black sweat is barely cracking the Vh1 video lists and TRL won't touch it.
All you others say Hell Yea!! woot!

PRINCE REIGNS IN ENGLAND

Two weeks after he made his first appearance on Saturday Night Live in twenty-five years, Prince was back at it on the other side of the ocean, making his return to the BRIT Awards after a nine-year absence. Brit poppers Kaiser Chiefs won three top prizes at the U.K.'s version of the Grammys on February 15th, but it was Prince who had the night's most memorable moment, jamming on "Purple Rain" as purple hearts fluttered down on the crowd. Prince's new album 3121, comes out March 21st. After the first single, the ballad "Te Amo Corazon (I Love You Sweetheart)", got a lukewarm response from radio, his purple highness has returned to his sexed-up roots with follow-ups "Black Sweat" which recalls his 1986 hit "Kiss"; "Fury" a guitar-heavy rocker he debuted on SNL; and "Beautiful Loved and Blessed", featuring R&B protegee Tamar.

I'd take that bet... it's not a sure thing, but Fury could do it. Huge amount of buzz around this song...

Te Amo was a Top Ten song in several countries. Black Sweat just came out a week ago and who cares if TRL plays the video. Prince is not going to appeal 12 year kids. No other artist his age or older is marketed to the TRL audience.

I was thinking more along the lines of genre charts but....I think it's possible one of the songs could crack the billboard top 10, shit anythings possible right? razz

Not too hard to spot the phonies on this site.
Ten years ago they were saying Prince is dead cause only the die hard fans were buying his music. Now they say they miss the Symbol era. Yeah, right.
Why don't you just admit that you're not really 2 freaky 4 church but just an old, fat WB executive who has wished failure for Prince the minute he left Warner Bros.
I guess 10 years from now, provided you're still among the living, you'll be praising the 3121 era while simultaneously putting down whatever Prince is doing at the moment.
But if spending 10 years of your life dissing Prince on a Prince fan site is what floats your boat, more power to ya. lol

Not true. Madonna retired "Hung Up" at number one on TRL and her new single "Sorry" is number one at the moment...on TRL.

And that part I really don't believe - where was it Top 10? I mean, the official sales and radio chart, not some genre chart?

Someone once said Spain - been there a lot over the last weeks, never ever heard it on radio. Here in Germany, I have heard it 2 times only. and only on a Public radio station later at night, not at the commercial stations playing top 40...

Precisely! nod

Also, it's always dark on `their` side. We all know what a lack of sunlight does to the brain....
