Question? Some time ago there was a mention of the cologne that Prince wore. It was a sandlewood and vanilla scent. For some reason I cannot get the search engine to work.

If anyone knows please orgnote me.

I believe he used to favour lavender. Or "lavendel" or what the hell you call it. It's mostly used by women, and also some gay men occasionally. And old movie stars, but they were gay men or secrectly wanted to be women too.

The Goddess Appolonia said Lavender.

sandlewood is one of my favorte sents. Most often they don't come in cologne form. You might be looking for esential oils. These are oils that have sent that come from products such as flowers and stuff. They are very nice to ad into your wash.

Personally I have a very large bottle of sandlewood with an eyedropper.

Interesting... Although, Madonna's Like A Prayer was Patchouli scented, not lavender.

I imagine him smelling like baby powder.

I always imagined him smelling like a really strong, emotion provoking incense.

he also wore his own creation "Get Wild" and some of his oils.. so really it could be anyone of what your talking about....

all i know is he smelled good good...oh and he use to wear (i just remembered) Anada or however u spell it the one from the body shop.(the word means heaven) which makes sense now because in one his magazine interviews the band was asked how does prince smell and morris hayes said like "heaven". it has now kinda been discontinued.. the oil is still around but the lotion isn't really the whole line but you can get the oil put into their lotion and there you go.. for anyone who cares.

Prince should wear Channel no 5 or 19 or Patchouli or Rose Oils. Lavender they say is for Older women..He could also wear Joy ..... I also think he could wear ISSEY MIYAKE...First One.....I would spray him with Pheramone or Tova Myself....He would be Delicious.....And maybe he would dig Shalimar or First....I love the Older Shalimar clasics Myself. House of GUERLAIN is DEFINITELY PRINCE.....

How do we know it's the "for Women" variety? I used to wear Chanel for Men back in the late 80's. There were two different scents and they both came in bottle similar to the normal women's fragrance at the time.

I love Prince so much. I really do-but I have never wondered what he smells like. This whole thread seems kinda freakish to me .

you have to get it PURE. maybe the stuff you used had additives. oh yeah, and lavandin is not the same as lavendar (different smell, and that stuff stinks a bit in my opinion)...

it's not just the oil on a dead surface - it interacts w/ your body chemistry as well... so it might smell a bit different on everyone.

I know for sure that he had used a perfume called Patchouli, made by Reminiscence, when he was filming UTC. And bought some of their jewels too at the Juan les pins boutique.(french riviera)

I know it cause I know the son of Reminiscence boss, who was in the same school as me.
