UK Prince News.....

This little bit was in the English newspaper 'The Sun' today:

"EIGHTIES superstar PRINCE is in secret talks to come out of hiding and appear at the Brits.

The pint-sized singer has been asked to duet with the gorgeous PUSSYCAT DOLLS."

They dont deserve to be on the same stage as him.....!

But weren't that brother and sister act, the Beddingfields, supposed to be doing a Prince cover last year and it failed to materialise... a pinch of salt, especially where the Sun is concerned.

Smells like bullshit to me.

I know Prince is blinded by such things, but the Pussycat Dolls are dreadful, even worse than Beyonce.

That's debatable. I wouldn't call going 'Wooooaaahh-oooohhhh-ooooohhhh-woooaaahhh-ooooh-woooahhhh-ohhhh' at the end of every line carrying a tune.

As long as they only let him sing ... PLEASE no speech. Couldn't bear another painful 'on stage ... perfectly free' type performance.

The full story:

Eighties superstar Prince is in secret talks to come out of hiding and appear at the Brits.

The pint-sized singer has been asked to duet with the gorgeous Pussycat Dolls.

Prince, or sign, or squiggle, or whatever he likes to be known as these days, last performed at the Brits in 1985.

Organisers think his big comeback at our rock 'n' roll Oscars could be a ratings winner for the TV broadcast.

It sounds plausable enough - appearing at the Brits whether with the pussycat dolls or anyone else would be good publicity if he wanted it, for instance, to promote a tour.

But as it's in the Sun I don't believe it. Sun reporters are not exactly renowned for their fact gathering capabilities, and if they ever tell the truth, it's only by accident.
Lemmy, Bowie, Prince, Leonard. RIP.

Ah the good old 'Sun' what the fuck do they know! Last performed in 1985, oh ye that must have been an optical illusion singing 'Emancipation' then!

Yawn.

Seriously, if they're going to just make up stories why can't they even come up with anything relatively interesting. "Prince to perform with the Pussycat Dolls!", I guess it fills up some empty page in the paper...

But then again, Herbie Hancock does have Christina Aguilera on his new album as well... hmmm

Victoria Newton. Supposedly the Sun's celebrity gossip expert. Cant stand the bitch. She knocks so much good talent out there and sticks up for utter crap. If I ever met her I would have to be rude and let my compllete dislike for the cow be known... Petty little knows-fuck-all!

Right. Personally, I don't know what is even remotely special about her at all. Should be fun to see Prince between 6 or 7 girls on stage. I'd rather see him alone, but what the heck.

The Missy, Gwen and someone else I don't remember performance of Kiss the previous year did happen though.

It does make some sense as he was obviously focusing on the States last year, but if a world tour is in the offing, he'll need to raise his profile here in Europe, as he did at the Grammies to kickstart the Musicology project. After previous appearances in '85 and '95 he is due another visit.

Oh good god no!

Agreed with the statement of them not being fit to be on the same stage as him...

I sincerely hope he does appear on the Brits but I really really really hope its not with them!
JaneyPoos used to be it... then they changed what it was. Now what I am isn't it and what is it is strange and frightening to me...

they did "Aint nobody " by Chaka Khan in the end , maybe a bit of confusion
between that song and " I feel 4 U" on The Sun's part . Prince has actually done 2 interviews with The Sun by the way , in 1995 and 1999 I think , don't dismiss this story completely out of hand , everyone dismisses any story by
The Sun , and yes theyve made an error in the article , but I can think of dozens of other publications that have printed articles on Prince chock full of errors in the past too , and a lot of them have never got a sniff of an interview with him , never mind 2 .

P.S.I submitted this as a news article early this morning before there was any mention of it in the forums but it was ignored , dont know why I bother ...

She tends to go overboard at times with the adlibs...But there has been evidence during her career that the girl can carry a tune...For every silly song like "Survivor" there's a "Me Myself & I"...

Actually I've decided I disagree with myself here...

Good on Prince for doing the Brits (fingers crossed!)

Whatever as long as he's on stage.... I think we should support him because there's obviously gonna be a big build up !

It'll be great to see him !
