The song is called "God". There are two versions of it that aren't much alike, the vocal version (that can be found on The Hits / The B-Sides -compilation) and the instrumental version, which is best found from the filesharing applications.

I menat the first time in the movie(g). I thought it was "God" but wasn't sure.I loved the instrumental. I guess I need to go on a search for it. So it never was released?

God (Instrumental), I think it's also called "Love Theme from Purple Rain."

Its God (love theme from Purple Rain) and Comes on the B-Side 12" Vinyl of Purple Rain along with the vocal version.

The Song is called "GOD", it was an instrumental version. but the vocal version can be found on the 3 CD set Prince- The Hits/B-sides
