I´ve seen a pretty lot of tv appeariances & interviews of Prince.
But this one, when Oprah visited Prince @ Paisley Park and when Mayte joined the interview, this one was 4 me the most interesting and informative about the private Prince. R there other good interviews like this one?

I'd much rather forget it existed.

with oprah asking horrible questions, when she's
usually quite a good interviewer and prince was,

would have been better off canceling the whole

The Oprah interview is better than the 1 on larry king!

yeah Prince has had a few uncomfortable tv moments and this ranks as one of the more uncomfortable, from memory


still... i'd wouldn't turn down a copy of it along with other interviews

BET 90 min with the artist...and MUCH MORE MUSIC 2004 ...never saw him more down to earth...

The best part was Oprah on the stair climber wearing nearly every damn thing for sale at 1800newfunk all at once, trying to sing along to Emancipation, pretending that she liked it, LOL.

I was also disturbed by the Oprah interview, however if I didn't already know what had happened to them I think I would have taken all the 'normalness' at face value as they were pretty convincing. With hindsight though,if you really l
look I think you can see the sadness in his eyes at times. A favourite interview of mine is Beautiful Strange with Mel B.He is just so sexy in that I could eat him! The bit when they are outside in the playground is great, so different from how we usually see him. I thought he came across as very childlike here.

Oprah dont like Prince music. If it aint tina turner, she just dont know it. it always makes me smile when she tries to sing along to artists music ujust know she doesnt care about. On the Prince interview she isnt even aware that he has already started playing purple rain for her at the piano! shes still asking him as he's playing it.haha. check out her singing and handcapping to housequake at the vanguard jam too. too funny. u know she aint never heard the quake!

i remember last year or the year b4 he did an interview on Rove Live (a Aussie wannabe of Letterman and he does it very poorly) Rove kpet asking the most stupid questions as he always does and u could tell P didnt wanna b doing it cause of how unintelligent Rove is!
Probs the worst interview ive seen, but that wasnt P's fault, Rove is just plain old shit and i cant wait til his show gets AXED!!!!!

On the surface, it was fun and kind of entertaining.
But being a fan of his, considering what was going on at the time, he really would have been better off not giving the interview until a later time. Many of his interviews for the next few years were kind of dark though.

I taped that interview but I have not watched in a long time. I have emailed the Oprah show to ask them to do another interview. Probably will not grant my wish but I tried...

I need to dig out that old interview- I enjoyed his performances on the show.
