illusion coma pimp and circumstance

Does anybody know if part of this title was derived from Elgars orchestral piece 'Pomp and circumstance' (which, coincidentally, took its title from Shakespeare's play 'Othello'.

No sure but heard it had been recorded in Canada. I always thought this song was about Manuella since she probably knew which fork to use but couldn't dance.
