What do you think of this song? The Prince version and the NPG version. I think this song is so fun to dance to!

Love this Song...So HOT and EXCITABLE.....

Love the song, but Prince's version is waaaaay better than the lame NPG version. Prince is so much more into it on his take with screams and yelps all over the place. The NPG version is just bland. (And I ain't talkin' 'bout Michael, either.)

"Mad" and "Funky Design" are both good examples of songs you can compare between Prince's version and his band's version...and clearly see that Prince's versions are always, always, always better.

I never understood is WHY is Mad and Funky Design always "Grouped" together..
On boots they were together..when Prince released them on NPGMC, they were released at the same time..its like wherever u see Mad, you see Funky Design, it kinda irks me..in a weird way, am I alone on this?

I understand they are the same time period, ect..but its like everyone wants these 2 different tracks to ALWAYS go hand in hand.

Great track. Definitely one of least awkward attempts at hip-hop influenced stuff.
