It's a little annoying. It has a really lazy, uninspired hook and some of the lyrics are the kind of naive and shallow perspective you'd expect off of For You, but not Prince in 2004. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

Great video, gutsy take on a controversial topic but musically not quite there. It's supposed to be one of those catchy middle of the road pop rock numbers with just enough Prince magic to transcend the conventional aspects, like Cream, but he doesn't pull it off this time. So it ends up being that song that's dying to be catchy but that isn't and it's a little annoying. | |
