The most I've ever done is listen to a song three times in a row, maybe four, but it didn't last an hour. As much as I like some of the songs named on this thread, I have to say an hour of some of them would surely drive me nuts.

None. I don't want to hear any song by any artist over and over for an hour. Consequently I have a friend who played Dolphin about 12 times in a row while I was at her house and now I loath that song. And this incident happened going on 9 years ago. mad

Purple Rain is a timeless classic that never gets old and I never get sick of and I could keep it in rotation ALL DAMN DAY.

Regardless of how many "fans" diss it, it's flawless, raw, and captivating.

it's my all time favorite song. i have about 7 versions in my itunes. sometimes i have a "purple rain" day, and liten to them all over and over and over. it's hard for me to listen to it just once, actually. for real.

Hmmmm,

I have been getting ready for 3121 so I have been "warming up" with some Prince tunes.

Undisputed.
Love you 2 the 9's
Private Joy
She's Always in My Hair
Reflection
Digital Garden
Everlasting Now
Tangerine

I can still listen to "Elephants and Flowers" or "Still Would Stand All Time'
or even listen to "Electric Chair" and "Vicki Waiting" on repeat.

But 20 some years ago.....

I know I listen to the following for at least a hour each:

Do Me Baby
International Lover
Beautiful Ones
Sexuality
Erotic City

And I know I listened to "Another Lonely Xmas" for hours one Christmas.

Haaaaahhhhh, the good old days.

One time I got mad at my wife and played "Bob George" from the Dortmund '88 show for what seemed like an eternity, screaming out the words every time. I lost my voice; serves me right!

Now that I'm more mature and have learned the secret to a happy marriage, I would never do that again. Here are some songs I could play now for an hour straight:

The Holy River, Take Me With U, Vavoom, Pearls Before Swine, So Young and Beautiful, Where Ever You Go, Crucial (the bootleg version with the sax solo).
