The story is good.
The guitar play is alot of fun. But the mix and the drum programming is so nerve racking, I have to skip it from now on. Have a beer->  "Whatever skin we're in

Lemme tell ya why I don't dig it. It sounds like a leftover from Rave/NewPowerSoul, the era when I truly gave up on Prince. Following a track like Musicology: real instruments, the next song shouldn't have been a predominantly programmed joint. "Chips and whips" sounds like Prince using slang to appear to be "hip" On a positive note, it still shows that Prince has a sense of humor. It is funky. It's also kind of mean spirited tho in tone. Like Shoo-bed-oo on NPS where he was down on older ladies w/ younger men too. Like he would know anything about that.

Oh My God, I love this song.
Every sound on that song is indicative of Prince’s two favorite obsessions—that’s right, dehydrogenated monoxide and vaginas. Prince realized long ago that vaginas contain dehydrogenated monoxide, but the opposite is not true—thus the “illusion” of vaginal dihdro-monoxidification. In fact if one were to live off of both alone, they would quickly slip into a “Coma”. The song is a metaphor for how vaginas are traded on the streets by “Pimps” and that something in the water is causing vaginas to hydrogenate by “circumstance”. It’s an amazing song. Read between the lines. | |
