I'll be away from tomorrow until mid-August, and I won't have daily access to the org. Who will take over the daily postings of This Day in Prince History?

I have word documents detailing the events of each date - please orgnote me if you're willing to commit to posting these throughout the summer. I'll e-mail you the documents.

You know you'd miss them if they're not there, and tomorrow is the 18th anniversary of the Purple Rain album release - what a day to start!!!

Why don't you simply email Ben with the details you have so he can supplement the database he already maintains to support the display at the foot of the site's home page.

Otherwise, all you are doing is duplicating an existing feature of this site.

I have e-mailed Ben about this - I also sent all my files a few years ago when the old org and the PPML were interested, but nothing came of it.

I also like that a daily post allows for discussion and memories - maybe that's something that could be added to the existing feature?

Well, sounds like you've done your bit by offereing and suggesting. Perhaps drop Ben another line with the offer of your database once more and the suggestion of prompting discussion threads from each item. I'm sure, if he likes the idea, he'd credit you with the info you've provided etc..
