Nep first of all the reason your hair seems less curly toward the scalp is because the long hair is going to weigh it down. When you cut it the curl will spring up at your scalp. If you do decide to cut it take time to find the right cut to compliment your features. But due to the curl you will either have to use an iron to take some of the curl out or find a good product that will help soften them out some. I cut all my hair off 2 years ago (had the pic up but decided to take it down) but now I am letting it grow again. My hair is the one thing I am never satisfied with.
Whatever you do make sure it is something you can live with.

For me, one of the sexiest things a woman can do (& not get arrested) is play with her hair. A flick of the hair, brushing a few loose strands back off her forehead - that can knock any red blooded heterosexual male right out of his socks. Good Lord--first of all, why would anyone come here for beauty/fashion advice! Secondly, most people here are talking in extremes--as if a woman could only cut her hair really short or keep it really long. There is a happy medium, yanno!
