From Prince thru Batman there wasn’t a bad song in the MIX (excluding Ronnie talk to Russia..lol) Every song sounded like it had a reason.

But now, I have to make up my own reason for listening.

So it's 11 or so here and im lying in my bed about to go to sleep with without warning the new Prince video comes on vh1 before my eyes! shit man exciting relizing i cant share in this excitment w/o loging in here and saying.... LOVE THE VIDEO! its relaxing and more sincere than his other works ina while the video is just professional

better than anything on musicolgy. intro sounds as if it is meant to be longer but had been shortened 4 a commercial release. best vid from prince in years. this song has mass appeal and if promoted properly can actually do well in certain markets. i look foward to things to come from 3121.

The video is well-made indeed. I just wish the song had more...bite. It's pleasant enough and thankfully isn't as bland as "Call My Name", but I'm not sold yet. That said, I am always interested in new Prince music and will continue to buy whatever he chooses to release.

i got to see the clip without any song...judging the vid all i could think of first off is: WOAH PRINCE LOOKS WAY TOO YOUNG HERE> he's like 22 yearsold again only better! buffed up, sleeveless

Yea, but it already looks like another marketing blunder on Prince's part. No new album until spring. Who releases a single with a great video for a new album in mid-December and then doesn't release the album until spring? The single will be long forgotten by then. Only Prince would do such a thing!

Dang! Prince is looking HOT!!!!! I was mighty jealous of that girl, getting to lay things by his bed, and then getting chased through the garden! Beautiful video. Salma did an excellent job.

That aside, Am I the only one who prefers hearing the song without the video? Don't get me wrong, I've already said that I think the video is great, certainly a step up in production but I couldn't help noticing that during my second and third viewing that I would close my eyes so that I could focus on hearing the song and its production as opposed to watching several stretches of the video. Let me just say that I found fruit there.

Dick Clark has nothing on this guy. Holy crap he looks very "Christopher TRacy" here. Is this album a sequel to "Parade" with strings, horns and real melodies?

I'm not in love with this as a first single but the quality of the video gives me high hopes.

I'm not sure of he effects that he's employing here but I can tell you that he's doing a sort of George Benson vocal mimicking of the notes while he's playing them. He overlayed the guitar work with his voice. At first listen its not necessarily clear that's what's going on. You just hear this very unusual sound while he's playing. It took a second viewing for me to catch it.

anyway, i LOVE salma heyak and i was actually wishing that it would have been her in the video. i thought she did a good job directing and visually the video is very beautiful. i'm not to sure about the song yet. gonna have to hear it again before i make up my mind. and to me...prince's arms have always looked buff when he's taken off the sleeves. his whole body is fine and fit and tight and as far as i know it always has been. i wouldn't mind seeing him go sleeveless more often.

The song and the video are boring. This is not his best work. He could have made this tune is his sleep 10 yrs ago. Hopefully the lp delivers better goodies.

When the first audio clips were posted, everybody was talking about this Sade vibe that the song had. I have nothing against Sade. In fact I'm a big fan but I just don't hear what others who were drawing the comparison apparently heard. Apart from this single being obvious adult contemporary, I don't find much at all to compare their work to this new P song.

It is a very elegant, "spiritually sensual" video. I get the feeling that he's talking about love, as in the kind you feel from a boy or girl, as well as the Heavens above. Watching it makes me happy to know of Prince again. Wow!
