It might need abit more exposure in terms of people hearing it, i suppose people might not get carried away by a new prince song just cos its prince anymore.

over on Housequake its reported that its gone Top20 on iTunes in most european countries, i think its #8 in portugal or something too, and #9 in germany.

as of 5 minutes ago it has moved up to #92 on Itunes

I just looked as well - it's up to #89.

I wonder how this will change after Christmas. I'm guessing most people stop buying Christmas music after Christmas Day, in which case many of the non-Christmas songs should experience huge jumps.

I can't think of a single radio station in my area that will probably play this new single on even moderate rotation. Hopefully the second single will be one worth airplay.

it's now #87, and 14 of the songs ahead of it are christmas songs. It's also still the #7 R&B song, and two of the 6 tracks ahead of it are two versions of the same song.

well presuming we've had the initial burst from prince fans, i suppose we'll see how it goes after xmas with more promotion for 3121. it'll be interesting, i'd be shocked if thats its highest position.

so bizarre its doing so well in europe! #13 in holland, #3 on the rnb charts (behind U2 bizarrely), top ten in germany, portugal and swiss! suppose its only on iTunes but it would be interesting to see a world chart for it cos i suppose it'd be higher!

Why is everyone so concerned about a song of his going "Top 40"....look at Musicology and Emancipation...one person heard this song through a "friend" and so on and so forth.....he dosn't need top 40...he has us. I can't tell you how many people stop me in a gas station or driving around town asking me "who's that you're playin?" And the beat goes on.

I liked the song, might pick up the single.....if I can find it.
