i dunno...he's so mercurial...can you really say he'll be the same way he is now and be involved in the same stuff ten years from now? he'll likely be somewhere else completely. that's what i love about the guy. it might not be something i'd choose for him - or myself, for that matter - but it's just kinda fun to sit back and see how he digests his latest thing into his art.

Maybe a little?? I try to understand that he is an artist and they are always changing. I am thankful that I have his old music to listen to and lots of great memories. I can still listen to him to help lift my spirits- That will never change.
I try to appreciate him for what he is and not expect him to be something he is not.

The one time I can remember recently his ideals affecting me was the ONA concert I attended. His ending speech after AnnaStesia talking about "reading your bibles" and "coming together in agreement" almost soured the whole previous performance. It didnt because I continually made a joke about it walking out about "oh..we are coming together at the HOB aftershow" over and over.

He doesn't want you to Change for him.... He wants ya to have Fun.... He will Guide you. But he's been Partying Alot so NO, he wants ya to have Fun and Enjoy. Never Change for Him and B Unhappy. B Yourself.....

Prince's ideals had no real bearing on me as a lover of music. Despite his quirks, his music was good. I didn't see him as a leader per se, but I always saw him as a trend-setter who lived in his own little world. As opposed to his "wonder" years, and the "trend-following" years, now, I see him as someone who's trying not to be so contained in "Prince world"

His ideals haven't affected my enjoyment or attitude. For the most part our ideals are similar although he has chosen a different path to realize his ideals.

For 25 years I've loved the vast majority of his music and that hasn't changed.

Remember he's Older, More Mature and POLISHED and Married so OF Course Things would be Different UNLESS he Chooses to go back to his Old Ways Somewhat. But I Still Totally Enjoy his Music. His usic has become MORE PROFOUND and MEANINGFUL not Simply Party Banter which is the TRUE TEST of a MUSICIAN. He is ABOVE being BANAL and SIMPLISTIC. He is DEEP and Gets you to THINK.... His Music is Much for the MIND as SPIRIT....

NOPE!! I've been there for the good and the bad and it's been one hellava ride! He's rocked me and he's shocked me and I've enjoyed every minute of it! His ideals are his and his alone. When there's something I haven't agreed with, I shooked my head and rocked on anyway because I'm an individual very capable of making my own decisions, something that Prince himself helped instill in me! One of the many reasons why I love him and will continue to love him even when I don't agree with him!

Prince's current views and beliefs don't affect how I enjoy his music at all. Yes he does get his message across, whether that be religious or otherwise,but there is still genius, quirkiness, originality and uniqueness in everything he does which is what has always drawn me to his music above all others. I am agn ostic and usually can't bear religion being preached or pushed as I believe it is something we need to find for ourselves. At this moment in time Prince's faith has evolved and changed, but that is how he always seems to have been, someone who is constantly evolving and changing.this makes his music more interesting to me as I feel I gain imsight into him and what makes him tick through his music and stage performances. Many of us have watched Prince literally grow up before our eyes, but one thing remains constant for me, and that's my enjoyment of his music, past and present.

I don't think that only his music has changed, I think that Prince himself has changed, I think he's finally grown up, C'mon he's 50 and married, off course he won't sing about incest, sex and violence anymore. I kinda like his music from these days.It has more depth.

BUT, dirty mind is my favourite album.
