Now, I realize that in Purple Rain the actress was italian (the original story of parentage for Prince in WB publicity and history stated that Prince was African American and Italian), however, Prince's real Mother was African American. Perhaps she was from Lousiana (and I'm not sure of that), but she was definitely African American and not Spanish....  "A united state of mind will never be divided
