The song was his answer to Clive Davis leaving Arista records
at the time of "Rave Un2" wasn't it? About being pissed off at the company for not promoting Rave well enough and at Clive 4 getting one hell of a lot of money to resign. golden handshake, golden parachute etc etc. I think it's about himself/an unnamed artist, being shat on by the music bizz as the "suits" rake in the money. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps | |
