Just wondering, what do you guys think is Prince's most angry song? Due to my limited Prince songs I would say 'Darling Nikki' just because of what the song is about and the kicks after each chorus...

I love Prince's angry songs.



But then again, I love his happy songs and his sad songs and his sexy songs and his funny songs, and his pop songs....

I think a lot of his early songs can be considered angry
when compared to his later work.

Especially his view of women became a lot milder with the
passing of time (and albums).

He always used to sing about being wronged by women, who
were almost always to blame for things going wrong in the
relationship/affair.

Later on his view became more balanced with him taking a
part of the blame as well.

Most blatantly angry...."Slave 2 the System" -- not that it has the most angry tone, but it's definitely a song stemming from some angry emotions.

Next...Da,Da,Da....

Two Others on the List....The Exodus Has Begun -- very angry, but more about retribution. And finally --- Bamboozled from "chocolate invasion."

I mean i know that song could also be interpreted as him being overly excited and trying to convince her that she should go straight,but still, he sounds pretty darn angry to me.

And I would say "If I was Your Girlfriend".....he seems pretty angry and kinda disappointed/desperate.....trying to make his GF imagine how their relationship wud be if he was her GF....

But ultimately I dont see Prince as the ANGRY artist, yes he has his moments, but on the whole, I think he likes to put on a good show and a laugh and if he can mix in some political statements into that, then it's all well and good.
