Ok.....since I am not able to use the search engine.....still..... I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on the 31:21 and what it is in "Prince terms" and how and maybe WHY he is using it?

No one knows for sure, though there are various theories.

A lot earlier in the year, he wore 3121 on the back of his clothes. Also he held what were called 3121 parties at his LA home with an exclusive celebrity guest list. Some people believe 3121 is the number of his house there and 3121 was only referring to that small period of parties. I don't think it has ever been verified that this IS the house number.

Some people believe it is backwards and it refers to the date 12/13 ie 13th of December (we do the numbers the other way, more sensibly, here in the UK!) when some new music will drop. I find this unlikely, since it would require Prince knowing he was going to release something on that date back at the start of the year, and yet with only weeks to go clearly there would be no promotion and 3121 hasn't even been referred to by Prince since the parties. In fact, the speculation rests largely on the fact that some moderators over at the npgmc have left some cryptic messages that some have interpreted as meaning somthing new is coming soon.

Some believe it is 31:21 and refers to a passage in the bible. However, there are many books in the bible that 31:21 could refer to, so you could take your pick of meanings. Prince did write 5:5 on his forehead for the Cinnamon Girl video, which was believed to be a reference I think to Matthew 5:5 - however the 3121 written on his clothing did not include the ':' which would have made it more clear.

Still others believe 3121 will be, for whatever reason, the name of the next album.

Basically, no one knows for sure though many claim to know but are strangely never specific...
