They're the people who wrote/co-wrote "Hide the Bone" & "Somebody's Somebody". I'm kidding, i'm sure you knew that. Seriously, Brenda Lee was a vocalist sometime ago. In the '70's, she did a duet with Jerry Butler called "Ain't Understanding Mellow?". I can only assume she and Hilliard (not sure of who that is) somehow recieved songwriting contracts with NPG Songs back in the 90's. Anybody want to follow up cuz i wondered how they got on myself? Like did Prince hear a demo & add to it? Or did he start the songs and have them finish them? (I guess i've got more questions now than answers...)

how about let's go back a few squares and mention the context in which you saw them linked to prince?
unless, of course, you don't wanna bring the rest of the online fan community up to speed on this thread, which i guess is a completely valid option.  | |
