of course he seemed gay, what's the question? I saw him on American Bandstand and he dressed all in gay clothes and had gay hair and had gay (mick jagger I later learned) moves. I was 12 and too young to see it was all an act. When he talked to Dick Clark he did his weird little act and acted fey and gay. He wanted people to think he was gay, thinking it turned on women(which it does) and just trying to be different. Later on, realizing that he was a closet chauvinist and homophobe, I see it as an act, one that worked well for him. I wouldn't have noticed him if he didn't act gay on Bandstand and I wouldn't have noticed him until he became a superstar. His instincts are perfect.

I don't know. I heard the music before I ever saw him (fell in love) but I had heard from other people that he was. By the time I actually saw him on t.v. I was like "I don't care if he is gay, he is just too cute." and let it go at that.

No, I never thought he was gay, maybe cuz I first saw him in his semibiographical film Purple Rain with Apollonia.
If Prince really is gay then he deserves an Oscar for this!!! And we all know Prince is not a great actor.

But even before his scenes with Apollonia I never thought, "gay guy". I thought, "he's new wave, glam look/punk attitude".

naaahh!!! Prince is NOT gay! He spent almost all his 20s with different girls every week or something!! Hes just funky! He has a great style and he wears makeup...so whattt that makes him even more hot... it defines more his personnality and obviousely a celebrity is gonna dress in a more eccentric way ! His style really matches with his music and i think hes just perfect like that. Alot of people judge him without even knowing anything about him nor his music...they just dont feel him.
