Do you remember when Prince did the interview with Mel(Scary Spice)B?

It was really terrible with her fawning over him and staring at his crotch

Just wondering why he agreed to do this interview - do you reckon he was a Spice Girls fan! Or that he just fancied her and agreed to it because she was pretty.

I never saw it

who knows...she was one of the few people who didnt try 2 get as deep as they could in2 his private life during am interview during that time in his life...

I think she is UGLY..VICTORIA BECKHAM is HOT NOT SCARY...SCARY is SCARY IS RIGHT. UGLY.....

Huh? I thought it was an interesting interview. She was fawning over him because she is a fan...it is only natural. It was one of the few interviews with him where he wanted to know more about the interviewer By asking her questions.

I'd say he agreed to the interview because he though she was cute.

I just thought she came across a bit stalky in the interview...

I heard he'd met the Spice Girls before the interview and they did their usual overly touchy feely thing with him. He apparently was having none of it and told them "I don't do touching"...

I thought it was a great story - But it did make me wonder why on earth he allowed someone he'd previously treated as a potential stalker to come to his studio and interview him

When Prince did the Brit awards (around 96 I think...) the Spice Girls were also on the bill. They wanted to meet Prince but were told they weren't allowed - but I seem to remember them telling a story that they busted into his dressing room anyway, and found him to be charming and friendly.

I think the whole interview was organised by Prince or at least was a co-production, to promote Newpower Soul, and I'm sure he picked Mel B because he knew she was a fan and therefore wouldn't ask any hard questions and she was still a big recogniseable character at the time - it's easy to forget that the Spice Girls were really huge on a world-wide scale for at least a short time - so it was sort of the same attempt at appearing 'current' that he did by appearing with Beyonce.

I think I have that interview a tape somewhere... I thought it was alright. They were kinda' flirty.

With Mel...yep I think he was attracted to her but didn't want her to know it. He was making goo goo eyes but he was trying to play it all cool.

With that one lady on MSNBC...he was TOTALLY liking this woman. His body language was facing twords her, he was leaning twords her, he was almost shy because she was so pretty.

With Oprah...he felt very comfortable around her. Like talking to a sister. He almost was like a vulnrable child.

With that black lady on the early show promoting Musicology...I don't think he was really feeling her. Like she kinda got on his nerves a little. I think a strong, intelligent black woman his age kinda intimdates him. In the begining of the interview I think his hands were clasped together protecting his body. I think that is a sign that someone is uncomfortable and protective of themselves. He was not flirty with her and very to the point with awnsers.

With Star Jones and Lisa Ling...he seemed like he didn't particularly like them. Didn't particularly like being on the view. I think he saw the the lusty look in Lisa's eyes and it made him feel like a stud but I don't know if she was particularly his type.
