does any of u own the black album? If u do is it:
1987: Illegal LP-vinyl album, which did get out in original shape in europe.
1994: Legal limited-cd release.
1987 -> x: Illegal copies of the LP-vinly release.
P.S. Maybe it's not wise to tell if u do...? (!) ...or does anyone (the WB label legal device) really care so many years after?
P.S (2) Do anyone know how much money the original release of the black album (from 1987, LP-vinyl) is worth circa??

someone taped it for me way back when
and the quality wasn't that bad
which surprised me
so someone close had a "master" copy somewhere
i later bought the '94 CD version -- much better sound

I purchased the official release and except for maybe the first week the album has been collecting dust on my shelf. What a worthless piece of shit...

1 genuine withdrawn 1987 LP

1 ltd. 1994 issue on LP

2 ltd. 1994 issues on CD (1 US copy & 1 European copy)

A friend made me a cassette of the vinyl album back in the day. I bought the CD when it was finally officially released. The CD still has that muffled "bootleg cheap cassette" sound as the copy that I used to have. I've never understood this....if the album was all set to be shipped and Prince changed his mind at the last minute, why is the sounded muffled and not crystal clear? Surely, he wasn't going to release it sounding this way.

Is The Black Album digitally remastered???

Funny, I first had a bootleg tape I bought in the Village for 7 dollars then a vinyl record which was better quality bootleg then I bought the OFFICIAL VINYL from WARNER BROTHERS.
