Clair Sample

I was listening to my Ipod today and for the first time in forever, heard Tevin Campbell's "Paris 1798430" and notice a Clair Fischer sample..
and I KNOW I heard this sample in another one of Prince's song... any help reminding me what Prince song I'm thinking..

I ALMOST want to say, the segue before "Man O' War"..but it just seems too weird for the sample in paris to come in 1993 and have prince wait til 1999 to put a fuller sample on one of his albums...

Anyways, if u have the check check it out, its subtle in the background and can be heard more toward the end of the song.

Later bitches.

I noticed this years ago and haven't listened to it much since, but if I remember correctly, it's actually from Violet The Organ Grinder, but also used on live shows in '95 at the end of Shhh, and so also made it onto disc as the opening segue into Days Of Wild on Crystal Ball...

It's part of the great Prince family tree of songs - i.e. a whole slew of tracks that are connected by one sample or set of lyrics. After all, Violet The Organ Grinder came from Gett Off (which also spawned Gangster Glam and Clockin' The Jizz), which came from Get Off and Glam Slam '91, which came from Glam Slam, which also spawned Escape... The list goes on... It's a fun family tree - at some point I'll write it all down in more detail.
