prince and mentorship

when you look at the musicology band the composition seems a bit predictable of the prince of recent years. in 2004 we heard a lot about "real music" and what the younger artist dont understand. the true sign of maturation is the willingness to mentor and help youngsters grow. Kind of the way Kevin Garnett, who used to be "the kid" is now the OG of the Timberwolves. What if Prince had a young, male, pretty, guitar hotshot in his current lineup?. A kid with worlds of talent, with an obvious nasty streak. A kid who the young female concert goers were obviously feeling, a kid who reminds him of somebody, how would he handle that?

If he was talented enough to concern Prince then he wouldn't need Prince's mentorship

I think a lot of musicians look to Prince as sort of a mentor w/o his direct involvment...

somehow I just can't see Prince playing teacher shrug

Why nasty? Anyway, ever hear of John Blackwell? Oh yeah! But that kid can teach Prince instead.

anyway, i don't think we have any idea the plans Prince has prepared for us and those who (will) work with him
