Can you imagine Prince agreeing to play up his arrogance, religious beliefs, obsession with sex and general weirdness - that how the public see him so thats what they will have to ask him to do, Besides he simply wouldnt understand it to agree to it....Ben Stiller and Sam Jackson and Brad Pitt (in the process) are one of the few who it would work with because they have that wicked humour I disagree, I think you are forgetting Prince's fun side. his sense of humour!

As for American humour translating across the World, fair point but the majority of which is based on simple, non too demanding and obvious humour. M.A.S.H. aside look at the greats like Cheers, Friends , Fraiser etc these are truly well written punch line based shows that really do get the laughs but subtelty and irony , as we all well know, are qualities that are rarely part of the American mix. I just pray that you lot leave Goldfrapp alone as well!!. okay, you're xenophobic, we get it. No, no, promise you I'm not. Tongue is firmly planted in cheek with you Americans.I just find , in the broadest general terms, it funny how in American T.V shows how everything has to be explained step by step by step!!. I watched here on U.K TV the U.S. version of wife swap. It could have been great, a gay male couple with 2 really well adjusted, great teenage daughters swapping with dysfunctional Bible bashers from the Mid west. What ruined it was the commentary at every stage explaining every damn thing that happened or was about to happen. Now I know that wife swap isn't exactly high brow but surely even y'all don't need THAT programme explaining. I also employed an American in quite a Senior role here and our clients [who mostly are in the top 100 U.K businesses really didn't like her and her inability to 'have a laugh'. She was more of a cyborg. Right i gotta go and raise my flag and sing an anthem , bye!.

Yeah, didn't you hear? He's just moved in with Eileen Murton in Croydon. There are three sides to every story. My side, your side, and the truth. And no one is lying. Memories shared serve each one differently

why just the other day I saw Prince and Londell Macmillan in the entertainment section in Asda. Prince was holding a copy of Charlotte Church's Call My Name cd and was shaking his head furiously.Londell was holding a copy of Prince's Cinnamon Girl and was just sort of shrugging. They eventually just gave each other a hug and Londell went and bought a cooked chicken, BBQ if i wasnt mistaken. This is very exciting news. Everyone loves the SausagePlatter

This will never happen. Prince's ego is too big for the small screen.

I'd rather see him do an L Word episode.
It could be the subject of lesbians who also like straight men who sometimes look feminine. They could all swoon as they show him performing at the club.

I've heard an excerpt from the Patrick Stewart episode of Extras, and it was hilarious. It was about a screenplay he was writing where he could make women's clothes fall off with the power of his mind.
Anyway, where and when does this show generally come on in the U.S? I heard HBO was picking it up, but I don't watch much television so I'm never really updated on what's on anymore. ~ I'D BUY THAT FOR A DOLLAR ~

Oh I agree that he has a sense of humour...thats undeniable from all of his work. I just dont think his sense of humour extends as far as seeing how weird and over the top he is...the things that are funniest about him to the outside world are the things that he hold dear to his heart...he religion, his general weirdness (sitting on a TV remote by accident and thinking the TV coming on is a sign from god), his name change, his obsession with sex, the SLAVE thing...these are things he simply wont find funny

??? I thought that was a fairly well know moment of weirdness in the Prince world. It happened during an interview with Q magazine...an Interview around the Gold Experience time when he was trying to prove that he wasnt weird. "Then something bizzare an Prince-like happens, a sound starts to crackle through a previously unnoticed TV. Without missing a beat he nods towards the set and says "its a sign, its a sign that we should go into my room".....He makes for the door, Duane (Nelson) appears in the hall to ask what the problem is "a sound cam throough the TV" explain Prince "its a sign". "Nah" says Duane "you just sat on the remote control"
