ABout Uh-huh: A blues-tinged number built around a funky bassline which Prince wrote for Ray Charles for use in a 1991 Diet Pepsi commercial. Reportedly, Prince received a cool $7 million for the slogan. The lyrics are about the virtues of a positive, spiritual frame of mind. Source: http://www.dtt-lyrics.com That's an unsubstantiated rumour. People that have researched it say that Prince did NOT write the song, in fact Prince just heard the jingle, and recorded his own song using it as the basis, just for his own enjoyment. I tend to believe this latter view, since Prince has never claimed the song and you would have thought he would have by now.

Prince has never gone the "corporate commercial" route with his music. Think about it. He could have made a boatload of money from corporate america in the year 1999 but he chose not to. Coke, Pop or Soda? Here in Texas, everything is called a Coke. http://www.popvssoda.com/ Here in the UK, we tend to call it coke. But I gave up drinking coke and soft fizzy drinks 5 years ago. It's full of chemicals, you know. Ever had a coke and felt thirsty again half an hour later? It's the soft drink equivalent of cigarettes and nicotine.

Prince heard the tune with Ray singing it and then decided to his own"real" song...any ordinary google search would substantiate this ..or any inquiry to pepsico inc...thanks Peter
