It's an album no hardcore prince fan can be without. There are some lesser tracks, but the stronger tracks really make up for it. 3 CDs of out-take tracks from the mid 80s to the mid 90s, plus The Truth album which is sort of acoustic guitar.

Still, I wouldn't pay a fortune for it. You can download the album from the Musicology store at the NPGMC for far less.

It's a mixed bag IMO, some material is really very good but there's a lot I could have done without. I'd like to go with metalorange, just download the album first from NPGMC and see if U like it.
RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time...

If you're not a completist, just go for the 4 disc set, since Kamasutra is probably the *least* 'needed' Prince release.

For the rest of it - Lots of great 93-95 tracks, some great 85-86 tracks (although the top-drawer stuff circulating on bootleg is suspiciously non-evident). There's some superfluous remixes and a couple of duff numbers from the 90s, other than that - it's essential.

Ahhh, and The Truth!

I think its definitely worth having if nothing else for Days of Wild, The Ride, Interactive, Ripopgodazippa, Acknowledge Me and other tracks like that.
"Why'd I waste my kisses on you baby?" R.I.P. Prince You've finally found your way back home. Well Done.

DEFINITELY!!

If I could only have one Prince album to listen to, for the rest of
my life this would be it (as long as The Truth was included)

There's lots of variety and surely something for everybody

But I warn you, SHOP AROUND.
I found my copy at a used record store for $20.00 and I've saw it last
week somewhere else for just $9.99! I shoulda bought it smile
If you will, so will I

Lotta filler but some great stuff too. How in the world tracks like Push and Da Da Da make albums and Days of Wild and Acknowledge Me don't is beyond me.

If you live in the States I'll mail you the 4CD set (minus booklet) free of charge - I picked up a copy for $6 recently to have the booklet to go with the 5CD set I got back in the day.

PM or e-mail me - I'd be happy to share the funk.

Yes you should get it.

I got mine--minus Kamasutra, but with the plastic hockey-puck case and booklet from SecondSpin.com for less than $25US. Although I just checked and they are now going for $11.99!!

Shipping may take a week or two, but the cds are original and they come with jewel cases & liner notes.
The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.
