i have always thought that holland is the biggest hotbed for prince in the world....his concerts always sell out in a very short space of time and he has always had a very good following in holland.....what do u think?

What Skywalker is saying is that the biggest hotbed is not Holland, but MPLS and Detroit instead.

DC showed up huge for Musicology. Always has...since the 9th (?) PR show at Capital Centre that I saw when I was a kid in 84. MCI was on fire last year. Dap to NL but I don't think so.

Very true. I was in Holland in April 89 and I bought the Sign of The Times European Tour poster. Even though it was a few years old, they had them displayed quite a bit. Same way with the LoveSexy tour posters. They had posters of P in grocery stores and shit. Seriously. There were alot of blacks that were Dutch. And the non blacks over there have a thing for black Americans. I found that out first hand. I had on my trusty leather biker jacket, long hair, carrying my guitar in a case. I'll just say that the non black women over there were not shy. So, I can see how that transfered over to there fondness for a known star such as Prince. Yeah, P was huge over in Holland.

It used to be at least. I remember when Prince filmed the Lovesexy show in Dordmund, Germany he wanted a lot of Dutch fans to come there. So that's why you hear people shouting "Holland" in that registration.

Also he filmed most of the SOTT movie in Holland, only to redo everything at his PP studios, hehehe!

Nowadays he surely isn't that hot anymore in Holland, he is quite forgotten. These are the days of 50 cent and the like, just like in the rest of the world.
