...is there any word on a DVD with ALL the Prince videos on it coming out? Because I'd rather wait for that.

i'd wager you could find the dvd of 'the hits' for next to nothing online.

Did anyone pick up that bootleg DVD compilation that Walmart was selling this summer? They had a few bizarre compiled DVDs for Aaliyah, Missy, Diddy, Whitney Houston, and they had one for Prince. I think it had the video for "Sexuality" on it!

I decided I didn't care if it looked like it was taped off of VH1, I went back to buy it. They told me had already removed all the stock!

Might as well get it...

There wasn't a companion DVD released with 2001's The Very Best Of Prince from WB, was there?

No..officially that's all there is. And it's not even that good (when doves cry is missing) If you want to make a hunt for some more...they exist on VHS format. For instance Diamonds and Pearls had a video album as well as The Sacrifice of Victor (symbol album). There are a few others like the Sexy MF video or Gett Off Video that have the original videos and remix videos.

SOme recently appeared on his Movie DVD...You can find them on Purple Rain DVD, Under the Cherry Moon DVD and Graffitti Bridge DVD. The Batman DVD collectors Edition is said to have some as well.

SO in essence they are all over the place. There is nothing official out that has them all in one place...but they can be had as said above.

I know of a few boots (of course) that have it all collected in one place...spread out over several DVD's. These seem most comprehensible and include the remix videos. They are not the best quality at all.

I am with Boris however...you will NOT see anything official for a while.

just go on kazaa or limewire or sumthin like that and download them thats wat i have done ive got heaps of Ps film clips that way...not 2 mention live shows!

Man I want a DVD to watch, not another fucken burnt disc of tiny .avi's.

It is possible as I have extracted video from a couple of them. The process is a long one then. But sure one could do that...and if they had a vcr to dvd player...you can get the rest and make your own. So one could have most of the videos up to Peach. Minus a few (America, Paisley Park, Sexuality etc).

I have "The Hits" on VHS and it is definately worth getting. I ordered the DVD from the record store months ago and the damn thing still hasn't come in yet. I ask about it every time I'm in the store and always leave out with the song "Still Waiting" playing in my head.

The Wal-Mart in my area never had it. Of course, the only Prince they ever have in stock is "Purple Rain".

I got that! It's soooo ghetto. The tracks are all in the wrong order and some of the videos feature more than once. If you skip tracks, you never know what will come up.

Still, having "Sexuality," "Automatic," "Let's Pretend We're Married," "Controversy," "Uptown," and "Dirty Mind" all in one place was worth it!
