Damn what ya heard! The man gets DOWN! James Brown, Michael Jackson, Usher, etc...None of 'em...can hold a candle to that man! Because as well as they may dance, NOT one of 'em looks as GOOD as HE does DOING it!! And baby...in my book...that counts as DOUBLE!!

Don't believe me? See for yourself!!

I loves me some michael but Prince has a relaxation and a coolness that is his style of moving. Michael dances like a repressed sexual deviant, (in a good way) Prince moves like a lovemassa. Who's better? Don't know. I used to think Michael did all the same moves over and over again but in rediscovering some of his work, this is not true, he still is trapped in 83 and does the moonwalk and the spins to the point of redundancy and of course, no one can argue that Michaels voice and his body is going to pot, whereas Prince is slowing down physically, but only gets better as a singer as he gets older.

Good post -- I think you get two very similar yet unique styles of showmanship.

Michael - He is fully aware that he spins and moonwalks a lot, but it is associated with his style of dance. They are his trademarks or to utilize marketing terms - it's his brand association. But his dancing is actually still very strong for his age - Rock My World is a prime example and his dancing on the Jackson reunion was also strong. He is influeced by James, but highly, highly chorographed. It looks tight, but to him it's natural. You will not get a bunch of updated moves with Michael, but you will get moments of brillance with a new move "here and there."

Prince - Is a free hearted dancer. He memorizes his chorgraphed moves, but doesn't really care if they don't come out perfect. He was absoutely brillant in his younger years in playing/dancing with the mic - however, he is for the most part - a memorizer of steps but a free-hearted (kinda of out-of-step) dancer. But Prince is a musician; he inherited the musicmanship of James and Sly. I see him to watch him command his band and add some neat live versions to some old gems. Prince is a live muscian!!

Michael - Chrismatic - Brilliant Dancer/Prince - Chrismatic - Brilliant Musician

Both: Legends - Legends - Legends
