Holy concealer, Batman! Seriously, what is this man's problem with makeup? Choosing the right concealer and applying it properly really isn't that hard. You'd think at 47, he'd have gotten the hang of it by now. It's not like he has really dark skin like some black people and has to shop around to get a decent match, either.
Yeah, yeah, I know. dumb topic. But c'mon -the guy's been wearing makeup for how many years? You'd think he'd have at least picked up a tip or two from a professional makeup artist on a shoot if he couldn't figure it out on his own. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

Well, at least he isn't wearing blue eyeliner or anything.

Did we really need a whole separate thread for the same picture?
That said, I'd re-word the ignorant phrase in bold: meow85 said: It's not like he has really dark skin like some black people The Normal Whores Club

I think it's for vaginas or something. Apparently Prince's vagina skin is not very dark. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

it was ignorant because it was implied that only "dark skin" Black people have trouble matching make up colors.
Being Black you know we come in all different shades and we all have trouble "matching" colors of make up and concealer. All of us. Not just the "dark skin" ones of us. that being said, P probably just grabbed the wrong tube that night We all should know that diversity makes for a rich tapestry, and we must understand that all the threads of the tapestry are equal in value no matter what their color. I'm black, from a black family, with a few black friends and this may shock you, but some black people have really dark skin. And it is in fact difficult to find the right shade of makeup for us darker skinnedd black ppl. For black ppl with light skin, it is easier because there are sooooo many shades of makeup for light skin. I graduated bitches!!! 12-19-09

yes and truly it seems that no one gets the shades right
Iman did not Black Opal did not Maybelline Revlon Clinique Almay Hell even Fashion Fair is off on most of the tones for me. It is difficult for us ALL, light, dark, medium etc... the light cannot wear the colors for the "white" so the variety is a problem not an advantage. we are all unmatchable but all beautiful P grabbed the wrong tube that's my story and I am stickin to it. Cinnamonjo loves covergirl-- it matches my skin perfectly-- one of those tan mixes is my skin in a jar.
My lightskinned (freckles and all) mama used to have a lot of problems finding makeup-- even now when she uses it it makes her look like i have to turn the knob on the tv. I say lightskinned ppl have more trouble w/this-- but i guess cause im not really dark-skinned, i dont count? well I guess you know how lucky you are girl, I always have to mix colors to get it kinda right, that's why I don't wear it much anyway. poor mama, she's just an example of what I said, variety is not an advantage. People with darker skin -of any race -tend to have a harder time finding makeup that suits their skintone without making it look ashy or weird. Don't assign racism where you should know damn well it isn't intended. [Edited 10/7/05 1:02am] "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

That's what I was trying to say. Don't think black people are the only ones who have problems finding the right shade though. I'm mixed race and paler than most white people I know (especially in the winter) -do you think anyone makes makeup in that range either? It's fact that a lot of black people -especially those with darker skin tones -have trouble finding makeup. You shouldn't have read so much into what I said. That said, there's still no excuse for P.'s makeup issues. Even if he does have trouble finding the right shade, with 20+ years having to work with makeup artists you'd think he'd have picked up something by now.
