Has anyone recorded a Prince track lately Seemed like in the early 90's every time a new cd was released, there was either a prince written track or a produced track on it. Has he produced a track or written for anyone lately? I don't mean has anyone recorded a cover of a prince track or his guitar work on What the Fuss. How long has it been? No Doubt's 'Waiting Room?'

Everyone suspects he had some involvement on Nikka Costa's latest album If you will, so will I

If I owned Paisley Park, i wouldn't leave the studio, and I'm sure Prince spends most of his time in there. I'll be he is recording right now. All the gals say hoe if your man's giving up the gold. All the fellas say ruff if you're only giving up the bone.

He has been spending lots of time outside of Minneapolis in recent years. Repo Man's got all night, every night.

The question would b "what happened after 1993?". Between 1982 & 1993 everybody & his/her cousin had a Prince track on his/her album, & it was more & more given tracks every year & it suddenly stopped in 94. Was it Prince's will or what, how can one xplain that it stopped that suddenly?

I think that a lot of the time he gave songs away because he couldn't release them himself. After '94 it wasn't as hard for him to release the songs himself.
But then again, there were songs written specifically for others to sing, like 'Martika's Kitchen'. Maybe Mayte put a stop to this as she saw the writing of songs for attractive women as being inappropriate. I think you'd have to differentiate between songs he gave to others and songs he'd written specifically for others. Oh - and then there's the collaborations, like 'Love Song'. I really miss the fluff and fun of the protogees' albums. The Carmen Electra album is just so funny from beginning to end.
