Prince & Desperate Houswives Has no one else noticed the very Princey spot for the upcoming season of ABCs Desperate Housewives
Not only does it look like I wish u heaven...but it sounds like a funky Prince joint from the 80s. Even the vocal makes an attempt at some falsetto and Priceyly growls Its hot though...made me want to watch and I have never seen it before [Edited 9/23/05 20:13pm] Dance... Let me see you dance

Sounds alot more like Nikka Costa's "Everybody Got their Something" to me. Of course she has her own Prince connection...

189 views and only one answer. Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

Not surprising. Folks have to understand that a lot of these women are either in their 30's or 40's. U think that they didn't dig P back in the 80's? Hell yeah, they did. P is truly from THEIR generation. So, when they want something funky with some edge, who do they think of? Lenny Kravitz? That's the cast from O.C. and shit. SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."

If you're talking about the one where she takes the apple or what not,
that is actually a song off Better than Ezra's new record "Before the Robots". They've been a favorite band of mine for a long time, you might remember their singles "Good", "Roselia", "Desperately Wanting", etc. But, yeah, the track's called Juicy, and it is pretty funky, it was the first thing I noticed. A lot of the fans reviewing it didn't know what to think, a lot of them being strictly rock fans, they were like "What is this track? It sounds like funk or something!" Me, having formerly been a rock person (but turned off by the poppy decay of former favorite band 'Live') I was very delighted and immediately thought of Prince when I heard this track. Don't run out and by the record, though, as this is the only track on it that sounds like this. If you're looking for some pretty thoughtful pop-rock with a southern flavor, you may like it. These guys aren't Prince fans as far as I know, but who knows. Still, I wish more commercial rock bands would lighten up here and there and do an odd-ball funky track amidst all their contrived stadium hits about their new baby daughters.
