Ballad of Dorothy Parker eek How can anyone hate that song? lol

for me it's 7. hated it. always.....until I saw him sing the it acoustic style during Musicology tour. Same with Sometimes it snows in April. Never listened to that song and it wasn't until he played it during the ONA tour and I turned to see the reaction to this song and a girl broke into instant weeping and it was then that I realized how much that song meant to people and I have had an appreciation for it ever since.

I will, however, never like Arms of Orion barf

Something about the Temple representing the love in his life(Ingrid Chavez), an thieves(Morris and Jerome) trying to steal her away I think.
Don't hurt me, I'm a newb. I'm supposed to be stupid.

Sexy MF is one. I don't know why though. I love it now so apparently I came to my senses. It's still hard to listen to the second half of Free where he slips out of falsetto and sounds like he's going to die screaming. (There! I said it! pout)

MAN IN A UNIFORM off The Truth.
The little trumpet-like part drove me crazy & I couldn't listen to it.
Lately I love the song - can't get enough of it.

A few things off of Emancipation, other than The Love We Make which I liked from the start. Now there are maybe three or four songs off the thing that I enjoy listening to.

Lets Have a Baby from Emancipation.
The simple production is so beautiful.
Should have been on One Nite Alone.

The only song that I absolutely hated but learned to like is "Horny Toad". I can't say it's one of my favorites though. Maybe "Do U Lie" would qualify. It's one of my favorites now-- atleast when I play the album in its entirety. Yeah, that and "Hello" would be my answers.

Believe it or not - I myself can't believe it - I never even gave Disc 2 on Emancipation a second chance when I first heard it. A few years on, now I can't stop playing it.

I've said before so I'll say it again:

disc 2 is Emancipation.
I'm testing postive 4 the funk

Okay, this really doesn't qualify but I'm going to say it anyway 'cause it's generally in the spirit of the question.
I never hated "Forever In My Life'' from Sign O' The Times, but it did seem kinda weak to me at first. It seemed to be missing too many things. Then I began to sing it and sing it and sing it and just appreciated it for its rawness -- and yes, the feeling behind the words.
That is all. smile

i think i heart u..forever in my life is my most favoritest song
due to the content i suggest you like this...

i never was (do not laugh!) too much excited about "purple rain", and i have to say that i did not like the song when i heard him for the first times. (but of course, i did not "hate" him). the song grew on my - but it was ever far away from being one of my fave prince songs... i like the song now, but do not "love" him, so to tell.

I started listening to Horny Toad. I never thought much of Prince doing rock and roll but it's fun. The kind of tune you can listen to over and over. Same goes for Jack you off. I think it was mainly the lyrics that put me off before.
