Lovesexy Is The One... Anyone else LOVE Lovesexy? It has remained my favorite Prince album for quite some time and is my 2nd favorite album of all time. There's just something about this album that constantly makes me listen over and over again. 45 perfect minutes. | |

I think LoveSexy is a little underated, but it shouldn't B, it's an fantastic album. The LoveSexy tour was one of his best tours 2 date.  Wish U Heaven, When 2 R In Love , Glam Slam, cult favorite Alphabet St. Great songs. I think it was underated cuz it is safe 2 say it was his worst album in the 80's. LoveSexy is still great in my book. When 2 R In Love is my fav of course.

can agree. great album. after i had bought it - and BEFORE i listened to it - i read some "critics" and "comments"; in short, people said: "this is prince weakest work since CONTROVERSY". well, two mistakes in one sentence.

Just today I was listening to Glam Slam and I was amazed at how many layers it has. Pretty deep. Oh, and it's not "Over-produced" in my eyes. That honor goes to Emancipation and some of Chaos And Disorder. The mult-layered everything works on this album.
1999 made me realize Prince was great at making dance songs. Purple Rain made me realize he was great at making rock. SOTT made me realize he could tell stories with music and include dance-able beat. Lovesexy made me realize all of the above. | |

I did not like the album when it came out. Too much mish-mash. I didn't like the flow of it at all. But then I got to see the live concert in Detroit and was blown away. It has taken time but I now have appreciated the album alittle bit more. The concert on video/dvd is still one of the best out there with the truly funky clothes wearing Prince at his best!
