Best Prince biog?

Slave to The Rhythym is pretty good, but i've got a fondness for Dave Hill's "Prince - a Pop Life"...it only goes up to Lovesexy but it's a fun read

Wasn't so keen on "Imp of the Peverse"

Per Nilsen's DSMR is the best, although it only covers the first decade.

Hi guys, pretty new to this forum and am looking for a book to read to fill in some missing years. I was probably what would be called a super fan from 1980 to 1990, I followed every step of his with great enthusiasm. For some reason about 1990 I lost interest, I think his music took a direction that really didnt appeal. Then around 2003 I started to listen again, and like again. I have tracked down all of the albums from those "missing" 13 years and have to admit there is still a lot of it I dont like but am very curious to find out what was going on during that period of his life. Any ideas?
