Purple rain has got some good but mostly bad acting in it. Who do you guys think give the best and worst acting performances in Purple Rain.

Best - Jerome, Morris Day, Billy, Francis L

Worst - Jill (really bad), Woman who gets thrown into a dumpster, Appolonia.

best -- wendy
worst -- male cab driver

Runner-up ()or maybe best because Morris was not acting, just playing hiimself)- Bil-Lay. I liked his perfomrance better than Morris'. BIllay was a crack up in all of his scenes too.

If u look at it there was alot bad acting in Purple rain but it look better movie what was made in 70's Kiss did a movie it was cheesy.

I like Morris Day and Prince was best actor it was about them anyways.

The girl that got put in the dumpster. As soon as she started into Morris, her acting was fake. I kind of wondered if she was going to break out into laughter trying to say the lines.

Prince, his best acting was when he woke up in the basement

Best Acting, Lawrence Fishburn III, Morris Day, Jerome, Billy..
Worst Acting, The actress who played his Mother (the overdub when she cries.."He's crazy!!).....Jill Jones...(rolling her eyes as she read's Appollonia's index card application),

I actually dug Prince's acting in the basement when he's being interrogated by the police about his dad's suicide attempt. It's not easy to act out a conversation, but he does it.

Best Actor: Billy ("No one loves your music but yourself", "Like father, Like son", "What's this one song sh_t", I could go on and on)

Worst Actor: Brownmark (Of course it didn't help that he wasn't given a single line and only had like one half second closeup)

the best acting is definitely from the guy who came as Prince's father. Morris Day is good too

Best : There is no acting that can constitute best in this film.

Worst : Prince.

Best: the barn scene where Apples was giving Prince the best that she got Prince really looked like he was really in orgasmic heaven .

Just turn on any Elvis Presely movie (ANY ONE), or Graffiti Bridge, or Mariah's Glitter, and you'll get the sense that Purple Rain is a masterpiece for that genre!

True, Prince really needs to be bitchslapped even more than what his father did, in just about every scene--but I feel that way when he gives real life intereviews!
