Who will b a guest in your tent?
Certainly not the ones who don’t wanna repent

y'kno, is it just me, or does anyone else find problem with these lyrics?
somethin about this part is just wrong to me
Yesterday is dead...tomorrow hasnt arrived yet....i have just ONE day...
...And i'm gonna be groovy in it!

S.S.T is a classic! wink about an hour ago i caught my mum singing in the kitchen "Who will be a guest in your tent?" lol

Yeah, but since you've probably played the tune 20 times a day since it came out, maybe she's just hypnotized by now.

I tell you one simple thing that's wrong with the lyrics - the "trinity" line.

There's a whole world of difference between celebrating your own religion and charting your own spiritual journey in song (eg The Cross, Temptation, God) and actually openly criticising another's religion.

If someone else wants to put another spin on the meaning of that line, then that's cool and i'm all ears. But to basically insult the concept of the Trinity is offensive to me. Imagine if instead of the Trinity, he made some comment about "the Prophet" or "Lord Ganesh"? He'd be told he was a silly fucking idiot.

What a dumb fucking line.

But like i say - if i'm misinterpreting it & he's talking about that bird in the Matrix or something (neutral), then fine, & I'll humbly apologise to the impish dude.

I don't know if S.S.T is.....yeah it's good. Maybe it's the
best made for a purpose.....but I think, in my opinion,
that "his best in 10 Years" are more likely to be Reflection,
Magnificent or GlassCutter.

I totally agree. The lyrics to SST are unfocused, random, and sometimes just plain fucking pretentious.

I'm agnostic, but I don't mind when Prince is spiritual.

Anna Stesia, The Love We Make...beautiful songs.

This is the new Prince...closed minded and disrespectful in a subtle, arrogant way.
The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

"You still wanna take me to prison...just because I won't trade humanity for patriotism."

The Trinity is a dogma according to which Jesus, the Holy Ghost nad God are, together, "God"... each is separately and together the essence of God. Or at least that's what I was told. Some Christians do not believe in the Holy Trinity. Prince may be saying that the concept of Trinity stands in the way of unity, but it could also just mean "let's forget about doctrine and be united". Either way, it's rather odd to mention doctrine on a charity single.
