I think both sold around 100,000 copies. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

The "As if you could sell that much" argument is REALLY weak.
You don't have to be a professional musician to know that Prince selling 20,000 copies would be outrageously bad. Still, I'm positive NEWS actually sold around 100,000 copies. There was a report about it when talking about NEWS being a "bomb" for Prince. Prince defended it by saying how since he gets so much money off each cd sold, he made a million dollars off it. well i used to look at the sales figures at the indie record label that released "the rainbow children" and it was around 130,000 sales in the us so i would guess it has now sold at least 150,000, add to that sales outside the us and remembering that "last december" was a big hit in japan, i think 250,000 worldwide would be a good estimate.....i think 100,000 sales for news would be about right. | |

N.E.W.S. was on the german charts - so i think it sold more than 100 000 copies worldwide.
if it`s true that TRC solds nearly 900 copies last week i`m more than imprest. for me it`s a timeless record. i listen to TRC still more than musicology. did anyone know how many items of musicology were sold last week??? | |
