Full credit to P. I went vegan a year ago and am fitter than ever. I shed that that extra weight & feel good. No meat, no dairy but a shed load of chicken grease - the perfect diet! | |

I've heard of terms such as "pesco-vegetarian" (eats fish but no other meat) and "pesco-pollo-vegetarian" (eats fish and chicken, but no other meat). So I think I'm going to start calling myself a "bovo-vegetarian"; i.e., someone who eats burgers and other beef products.  Please note: effective March 21, 2010, I've stepped down from my prince.org Moderator position. |

I wasn't present, as I was living elsewhere at the time, so this is secondhand information. But I'm told that when Prince came to Seattle on the 2002 One Nite Alone tour, he was asked during the NPGMC soundcheck gathering if he knew about our city's large selection of vegetarian restaurants, and his response was something like, "I've gone back to hamburgers." Here is a breakdown of what Prince requested on the Musicology tour: http://www.thesmokinggun....ince3.html perhaps Mani is not a vegan because I notice that he has cream listed for Coffee & Tea setup on the list, I am assuming this is for Mani or other guests who join him.
Honey isn't vegan either. In fact, I seem to recall that even when Prince was calling himself a "vegan," he was still making references to honey in his tea. Thus, I don't think he ever made it all the way to veganism. BTW, some of that rider actually dates back to around 1997-98... I'm almost positive the last two pages are from then. But I think the rest is from the Musicology tour, including the page you linked to. Please note: effective March 21, 2010, I've stepped down from my prince.org Moderator position. |
