TRC probably represents Prince speaking his mind, and from that stand-point alone it's better than something like Musicology, which was just made as a cash-cow. for me it's not the easiest of his albums to listen to from beginning to end,
but there are moments, many moments, that are stunning. this cd, in my opinion, really highlights his intellegence. the voice distracts for me a little, but at some moments i love it, like the intro to 1+1+1 = 3. the rainbow children, as an album, makes me hungry for more. i did think musicology as a whole was very solid, but the rainbow children elevated prince at least 7 levels above the average musician. peace, m [Edited 7/31/05 14:50pm] | |

sounds like something from the cartoon "Beauty and the Beast" but all and all is a good spirtual cd. | |

For me it's his best recent album. Just musically stunning. 
I like Musicology and NEWS also and I think that his form in the noughties so far is difficult to fault. if you've gotta pay for things that you've done wrong I've gotta big bill coming at the end of the day- Gil Scott Heron
