"The Last December", That chorus just doesn't work at all together with the verses. The verses are fine as they are, quite quirky sounding even and then that chorus hits. Pffft.

I thought he messed up on everyday is a winding road. too much instruments through out the song.....should of toned it down a bit.

The bassline in the original is too funky, but on Graffiti Bridge it's replaced with a bassline that's way too high.

I was so happy when I saw the tracklisting for Graffiti Bridge and sooooo disapointed when I heard the altered bassline.

Im pretty much agreeing with most o whats been said so far.

Love 2 The 9's, i actually have my own edited version of this without the raps, and it is a far superior song.

Little Red Corvette - 12" - Sometimes known as the dance version i think. Basically my problem with this is the bass line. I like the bass line for much of the song, but it ruins one of the climaxes of the song (the "run your body right to the ground -right to the ground - right to the ground" bit ). I cant listen to it as a result.

The Rainbow Children album - Id love to hear a version of this with prince SPEAKING NORMALLY - no slowed down voice shennanigans. Or maybe even a clean version.

Still Would Stand all time Studio version - The live version is INCREDIBLE. The emotion in his voice is electrifying. The studio version sounds like a broadway musical. Yuck.

Endorphin Machine - The orginal sounds tight. The album version is a horrible mish mash of overdubs. Bin those gold era synths - THEY SUCK.

Gold / The Holy River - He follows the notes of his guitar solos on these songs with a disgusting sounding synth. Really takes the songs down IMO. I think he was in overdub heaven in the mid 90's. he just couldnt leave songs alone.

Cinamon Girl - the horrible sounding synth after the chorus line "cinamon girl".

When You Were Mine - Live Lovesexy tour. Now this is a slightly weird one. I fucking love this version of my favourite all time prince song, however he was prone to performing it with a few minor variations. Ive probably heard about 7 different versions and by far the best one was in Milan. WHY? well basically after the sax solo, he kept the horn riff going and started ad-libbing over the top. It was brilliant, and gives me a rush everytime i hear it, however on all other shows he almost always cuts the song after the sax solo.....damn ruins it for me.....particularly given that my Milan version is a horrible poor quality auddience recording, and the rest are all glorious soundboards. Life's a bitch.

but seriously, how can you like this song? he changed it to be this lust-filled horned dog fuck-song when the lyrics completely contradict that..

its as if your singing, "dont worry, be happy" like its a funeral song...but at least that would convey some irony....

the fact is, prince sings that song without any irony thus making him sound like a moron so out of touch with the lyrics it renders the song unlistenable...
